In the evening hours of Wednesday August 27, an alert citizen contacted Police about a vehicle being driven erratically in the area of Essa Road and Innisfil Street. Officers attended the area and located the vehicle a short time later.
Officers investigated the driver and as a result of their observations the driver was arrested for Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle. The driver was subsequently transported to the Barrie Police Station. While at the station the driver refused to provide a breath sample.
A 32 year old female Barrie resident is facing charges of Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Failing to Provide a Breath Sample, Breach of Probation and Driving under Suspension. The female was held until sober and given a future court date to answer to her charges.
