(CALEDON, ON) – On August 25th, 2014 officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted to investigate a complaint. The complainant declined to pursue his involvement in the investigation. During the course of the initial investigation, officers learned that an involved suspect was bound by a Recognizance Order with a condition of no contact with a specific male party. Officers learned that the suspect was in contact with the male and an arrest warrant was requested through the Courts and granted.
On August 26th, 2014 members from the Street Crime Unit of the Caledon Detachment executed the arrest warrant on Shane Matthew McMULLAN, 33, of Caledon. He was arrested and charged with Breach of Recognizance.
The accused was held in custody and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville the following day.
