(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a St. Catherines man for multiple criminal offences following a report of vehicle break ins in the Central area of Kenora.
On Wednesday August 27, 2014 shortly before 3:30 am, police were called to a report of a male suspect entering vehicles on Ninth Street South. Police attended and located a man fitting the description of the suspect. The police investigation determined the man had broken into and damaged several vehicles.
As a result of this investigation, 42 year old Richard ALLIGOOD of St Catherines Ontario has been charged with Possession of Break In Instruments contrary to section 351(1) of the Criminal Code (CC), Trespass at Night (s 177 CC), Mischief Under $5000 2 counts (s 430(4) CC), Obstruct Peace Officer (s 129(a) CC), Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (s 355(b) CC), and Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to a Prohibition Order (s 117.01.(1) CC). He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on September 2, 2014.
