(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – A driver is facing charges and his licence has been suspended for driving while impaired. On September 2, 2014 at approximately 2:36 a.m. Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on patrol in the area of Dundas Street and Shaw Road in the Municipality of Thames Centre when an officer observed a vehicle driving erratically.
The vehicle was stopped and it was discovered the driver had been drinking and was impaired. The driver was arrested and brought to an OPP detachment for breath tests. As a result of the investigation, police charged the driver, 21 year old Thomas HOLBROUGH of Ingersoll, ON with Impaired Driving and Over 80 pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in a London courtroom October 7, 2014 to speak to the charges.
