On September 3, 2014, at 6:47 a.m., the Guelph Police went to Woolwich Street near Division Street for the report of a two vehicle collision. It is alleged that a 24-year-old Rockwood female was driving her 2007 Ford northbound on Woolwich and veered into oncoming traffic. An off duty police officer driving southbound was able to avoid a collision but another southbound car driven by a 40-year-old Guelph man was struck.
The female was taken to hospital with minor injuries and was also charged with careless driving under the HTA.
