(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On August 31, 2014 at approximately 7:20 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting patrols in the area of Richmond Street near Medway Road.
An officer observed a southbound vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. The officer measured the vehicle travelling in excess of 50 km/h over the posted speed limit of 60 km/h.
The vehicle was stopped by police and as a result of their investigation, Kassem MOUSSA, age 21, of London, Ontario, has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
The accused’s licence was suspended and the involved vehicle was impounded for seven days under stunt drive legislation.
A court date has been set for October 6, 2014, to answer to the charge.
