CAR COLLIDES WITH FARM EQUIPMENT

Officer’s responded to a collision involving a farm vehicle and a car resulting in two people being sent to hospital with minor injuries. The collision occurred yesterday September 4th, 2014 at approximately 11:33am on John Wise Line just east of Springwater Road, Malahide Township.

A Jeep pulling a tobacco trailer was traveling west on John Wise Line and was being followed by a Chrysler car. Investigation revealed that the car pulled out to pass the Jeep just as the Jeep began turning left (south) into a field. The car collided with the Jeep and trailer causing extensive damage to the Chrysler car. The Jeep and trailer suffered minor damage.

The driver of the Jeep, a 26 year old man from Trinidad was not injured in the collision.

The driver of the Chrysler, a 69 year old woman from Vienna, Township of Bayham alone with her 15 year old female passenger from Denmark suffered minor injuries and were transported to hospital with minor injuries. They have since been released.

Police continue to investigate, all parties were wearing seatbelts, distracted driving and alcohol was not a factor.
