(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – A female driver has been arrested and charged following a traffic stop on Westchester Bourne, in the Municipality of Thames Centre, Ontario.
On September 7, 2014 at approximately 3:55 a.m. Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint involving a Ford pickup truck. Police located the vehicle, conducted a traffic stop, and discovered the driver had been drinking alcohol.
The driver was arrested and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath testing that revealed she had consumed more than the legal limit of alcohol.
Gayle MOYNEUR, age 28, from Aylmer, Ontario, was charged with driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle; and care or control over 80 mgs, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She was further charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) with possession of a schedule II substance – cannabis marihuana – under 30 grams.
The accused was released by way of a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in a London court on October 17, 2014.
