(CALEDON, ON) – On September 3rd, 2014 at approximately 8:30 pm, an officer from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on patrol in the area of Highway 10 and King Street when he observed a southbound motorcycle making an erratic turning movement in the intersection. The officer observed the motorcyclist accelerating at a high rate of speed continuing southbound onto Highway 410. In the interest of public safety, broadcasts were made to Port Credit OPP and the Toronto Police Service.
Shortly thereafter, the officer learned that the motorcyclist had been stopped by an officer from the Port Credit Detachment.
As a result, Mark JURCZYNSKI, 30, from Toronto was charged with Race a Motor Vehicle.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days as a result of the stunt driving charge.
The driver is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Caledon on October 27, 2014.
