(CALEDON, ON) – On September 6, 2014 at 3:51 pm, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate a physical altercation between 2 males at a commercial business in the Village of Bolton.
The investigation revealed that one of the males attended the business to get parts and then the conversation evolved into owed monies by one of the parties. As a result, the males became involved in a physical altercation and one of the males struck the other over the face and arm with a rod used to change tires. The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
In conclusion, Swarnjit Singh KOONER, 47, from Brampton was arrested and charged with Assault with a Weapon.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on October 16, 2014 to answer to the charge.
