(COCHRANE, ON) – The annual Tim Hortons’ DARE Smile Cookie campaign is set to bring some sweet smiles to Cochrane and Iroquois Falls next week.
The campaign, a fundraiser for the local DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program, raises money through the sale of Tim Hortons’ Smile cookies. Last year’s campaign raised over $16,000 for local DARE programming initiatives.
Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign is hoping to beat last year’s success by raising more funds for local area D.A.R.E. programs, as they welcome all patrons once more to support this worthy cause.
The tasty chocolate chip cookies will be sold again this year from Monday, September 15 to Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the six Tim Hortons locations in Timmins, South Porcupine, Iroquois Falls and Cochrane.
Each “Smile Cookie†is going to be sold for $1 (tax excluded), with all proceeds going towards the D.A.R.E. program.
“This is a great community initiative that ensures that our local youth continue to get the best possible D.A.R,E. training throughout the school year. This should all give us a good reason to smile.â€Â, said James Bay OPP Detachment Area Commander Inspector Mike Demeules.
