(CITY OF TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON) Members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on Highway 11, Latchford on September 7, 2014 conducting a R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) Program.
At approximately 12:40 a.m., a northbound pick-up truck was approaching when it hesitated, made a quick turn and failed to attend the program.
Police located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop to check the status of the driver.
Through investigation, Alexander FORREST, 57 of Bass Lake is charged for Impaired Driving – section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code and Over 80 – section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on October 21, 2014.
