Police have charged a 36 year old Dutton, ON man with stunt driving after he was stopped travelling west on Highway 401 near Iona Road, Dutton/Dunwich on September 8th around 10:28pm.
At the time police were conducting stationary speed radar enforcement when officers observed a Volkswagen car traveling west bound on Highway 401 at a speed just under 170km/hr. The posted speed limit in the area is 100km/hr. The vehicle was stopped by police and the driver charged.
Police have charged Rodney HALES, age 36 of Dutton, ON with;
Race Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
HALES’ drivers licence has been suspended for 7 days as well as the vehicle he was operating has been impounded for 7 days.
HALES is scheduled to appear in St.Thomas Provincial Court on October 10th, 2014.
