A Barrie Police officer was patrolling the lakeshore area near Heritage park when he observed a male staggering in the back alleyway. The officer approached the male while in his cruiser at which time the male walked over and punched the hood of the car then gestured with his finger that the officer was number one. The officer exited the cruiser and determined that the 34 yr old Barrie man was intoxicated. The male was arrested for his own safety and lodged in the cell area until sober and released with a drunk ticket
