The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man for impaired driving last night.
Shortly after 11:00 p.m. police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Bisnette Line. The man lost control of his car, left the roadway, rolled through a ditch and came to rest in a field. The man sustained minor injuries but refused medical treatment.
Through investigation, the first officer on scene believed that the man was driving his car while under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested. The man was transported to police headquarters for further breath tests.
Scott Davis, 46 years, of Albert Street in Blenheim has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. He has been released with conditions pending a future court date.
Total damage as a result of the collision was estimated at $60,000.
