(New Tecumseth Township, ON) On the 11st of September 2014, members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a Warrant to Search at a residence situated on Victoria Street West in Alliston.
A 28-year old male from Alliston was arrested and charged during the search, and has been charged with Possession of Schedule II (Cannabis Marihuana) for the Purpose of Trafficking, contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000 (cash seized), contrary to Section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The approximate street value of the seized drugs is $1,500.
The accused is schedule to appear for a bail hearing at the Provincial Court in the City of Barrie on the 15th of September 2014.
