(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is urging all operators of vehicles to stay alert after police were called to a Cockshutt Road, Townsend, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Friday, September 12, 2014 at approximately 9:47 p.m., police were contacted by a concerned motorist after locating two cows walking on the middle of the roadway.
Through investigation it was determined that two cows had managed to make their way to the roadway from an area farm A motorist that was travelling on Cockshutt Road between Thompson Road East and Concession 8 immediately contacted police due to almost hitting the animals.
The animals were subsequently removed from the roadway and returned to their rightful owner.
