DRIVER AIRLIFTED TO HAMILTON HOSPITAL FOLLOWING COLLISION

(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – On September 12, 2014 at approximately 8:05 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a report of a two motor vehicle collision on Wellington Road 124 near the Third Line, Town of Erin.

Officers responded along with the Town of Erin Fire and Rescue Services and the Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

Investigation revealed that a 2001 Toyota travelling eastbound on Wellington Road 124 collided with a 2001 Pontiac that was travelling westbound on Wellington Road 124. The driver of the Pontiac, a 25 year old Guelph woman, was transported to a local hospital by land ambulance and subsequently airlifted to a Hamilton hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation is still ongoing at this time.
