Man and Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrants

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man and woman wanted in connection with a theft in Wallaceburg.

On September 1, 2014 around 3:45 p.m. the pair entered O’Flynn and Burgess Variety Store on McNaughton Avenue. The woman distracted the employee while the man stole about $60 worth of lottery tickets. The man and woman fled the store prior to police arrival.

Through investigation, police identified the pair and warrants were issued for their arrest.

Shortly after 2:00 a.m. this morning, police located the man and woman. They were both arrested and transported to police headquarters.

William Lalonde, 44 years, of Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg has been charged with theft under $5000. He has been released with conditions pending a future court date.

Teri-Lynn Scholte, 34 years, of Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg has been charged with theft under $5000. She has been released with conditions pending a future court date.
