(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment continues to investigate a shooting injury at a Norfolk County Road #21, Norfolk County, ON address.
On Saturday September 20th, 2014 at approximately 2:40 pm Emergency Services responded to the County Road #21 address after a 52 year old farm worker suffered a leg injury from a gunshot.
Investigation revealed that the 52 year old farm worker was harvesting crops in a field along County Road #21 when he was struck by a stray bullet. The 52 year old migrant worker sustained a non-life threatening and was transported to a hospital after receiving emergency medical aid from Norfolk County paramedics.
It was also determined that at a property along Concession Road #13 south of County Road #21 several persons were target practicing with rifles.
It appears at this time the bullet may have come from the target shooters.
The investigation continues with possible charges pending.
