(Havelock Belmont Methuen Township, ON) – On Saturday September 20, at approximately 7:00 a.m., members of the Peterborough County OPP were called to investigate a report of an attempted Arson at a address on Preston Road.
An employee of a business observed two males pouring inflammable substance on tires near a House Trailer. The two youth lit a small fire in a tire that was extinguished quickly. They fled the area when they were interrupted. Police attending the scene discovered that the suspects had entered the house trailer and ransacked the interior as well as pouring a flammable liquid around the interior. The suspects stole several small items form the trailer before they fled the area.
A search of the area was conducted with the two suspects last being seen around the Burnt Dam Road area.
The Two suspects are described as:
1) Male, white, 5’ dark hair last seen wearing a black jacket
2) Male, white, 5’10†blonde hair, wearing red jacket with black back pack
