(KENORA, ON) Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Kenora Street Crime Unit have made a drug seizure as a result of a traffic stop on Highway 17A. On September 18, 2014 shortly after 6:00 pm, police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The police investigation resulted in the arrest of the two occupants. Upon searching the vehicle, police located approximately 172 grams of cocaine. The drugs have an estimated street value of $17,000.
As a result of this investigation, Derek ANDERSON age 35 and Sean LEMMON age 38 of Sioux Lookout, Ontario are charged with Trafficking a Schedule I Substance and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule I Substance under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
The two males are to appear in Kenora court on October 30, 2014 to answer to the charges.
