COLLISION CLOSES INTERSECTION OF HWY #3 AND #56

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County detachment investigated a tractor-trailer vs car collision at the intersection of Hwy #3 and Hwy #56, Haldimand County, ON.

On Wednesday September 24th, 2014 at approximately 4:55 pm Emergency Services responded to the collision after a silver 2006 Cadillac car and a blue Freightliner tractor trailer unit collided.

Investigation revealed that the Cadillac car being operated by 78 year old James GREGORY of Toronto, ON was southbound on Hwy #56 when it entered the intersection of Hwy#3 colliding with an eastbound transport truck being operated by 28 year old Dale FALSETTI of Ancaster Twp. ON. The impact then caused the Cadillac car to spin out and strike a passing motor cycle which was being operated by 48 year old Robert BARTLETT of Haldimand County, ON.

Mr. GREGORY sustained non – life threatening injuries and was examined at scene by Haldimand County Paramedics.

Mr. BARTLETT AND Mr FALSETTI were not injured during the collision.

Mr. GREGORY has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act for Failing to Yield. He was issued a Provincial Offence notice for the charge.
