More Photos Of Town Staff Neglecting Their Duties And Letting Our Infrastructure Rot & Crumble

Blocked storm drain covers are a known issue for
North Huron council, as it has been brought up by the Public Gallery
at least once at a council meeting in the last year.  Sadly
this was not enough to get council and town staff to act and solve
the problem.  There are several storm drains that have been
blocked for virtually the entire summer.  Now there still might
be one or two out there that will continue to blindly defend all
town staff and council, and think we are just being petty about some
blocked storm drains, but these drains are there for a reason.

The photos below prove that town staff are failing to do the jobs we
pay them to do, and our infrastructure is suffering from their
abject apathy.

In the first photo you will see this week’s featured blocked drain,
with some garbage beside it.

Town staff have ignored this blockage and the surrounding trash for
the entire summer, despite it being several feet from a trash can
they regularly empty.  Two town staff drive around emptying the
little green trash cans attached to random posts throughout the
town.  They will ignore trash that is not in the garbage can,
even if it is within a foot of the trash can they are
emptying.  These are the same town staffers that will drive
through Cruikshank Park on Josephine St, rather than walk 15 feet to
the trash cans to empty them.
