(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On Saturday, September 28, 2014 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a single vehicle collision on Glenarm Road, near Kagawong Road, that resulted in the road being closed for several hours for the ensuing investigation.
At approximately 5:15 p.m. police, fire and ambulance personnel attended a single vehicle collision that resulted in the death of one person. Initial investigation indicates that a vehicle travelling west bound on Glenarm Road was passing other vehicles when it lost control and left the roadway.
The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, Bruce WHALEY, 56 years of age, of Toronto was transported from the scene via ambulance to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The OPP’s Technical Collision Investigation unit (TCI) attended the scene to assist with the investigation. Glenarm Road was closed for several hours during the investigation.
