(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) – One male is deceased and a second male was transported to hospital following a single vehicle rollover collision on Knapdale Drive, west of Pratt Siding Road, in the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex.
On September 29, 2014 at approximately 10:24 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the Southwest Middlesex Fire Department, and Thames Emergency Medical Services (EMS), responded to a report of a single vehicle collision. When emergency crews arrived, they discovered one male had succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation revealed that a black Ford pickup truck, with two occupants, had been travelling westbound on Knapdale Drive. It left the roadway for yet-to-be-determined reasons, and struck the south side ditch. The vehicle rolled and came to rest on its tires, on the north side of the roadway.
The 27 year old male passenger, Jonathon St. Denis, from Southwest Middlesex, Ontario, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 29 year old male driver, Thomas St. Denis, from Southwest Middlesex, Ontario, suffered non-life threatening injuries and has been discharged from hospital.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) Team assisted with the investigation.
Police closed Knapdale Drive between Big Bend Road and Pratt Siding Road, as they completed their investigation.
