(KENORA, ON) Members of the Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), Kenora Drug Unit have charged a 31 year old female with drug related offences.
Police have charged the female following an ongoing investigation of drug trafficking in the City of Kenora. During the investigation, police conducted a vehicle stop in the downtown area of Kenora around 2:00 pm on Monday September 29, 2014. The stop resulted in the arrest and search of two males and two females. A small quantity of Hydromorphone was seized as well as drug trafficking paraphernalia.
As a result of this investigation Patricia SKEAD of Wauzhushk Onigum (Rat Portage) has been charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA), Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC), Obstruct Peace Officer section 129(a) CC and Fail to Comply with Probation Order 733.1(1) CC. She is to appear in Kenora Court on October 30, 2014 to answer to the charge.
One of the male passengers, 26 year old Harvey SMITH of Washagamis Bay has been charged with Fail to Comply with Undertaking section 145(3) CC. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
