(BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM TOWNSHIP, ON.) – On October 2, 2014, at approximately 4:15 p.m., Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a collision involving a vehicle and a school bus on Township Road 4 between Blandford Road and Oxford Road 22 in Blandford-Blenheim Township.
There were 7 primary school age students on the school bus at the time of the collision.
Oxford County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attended, treated and released one child at the scene.
There was minor damage to the school bus. A replacement school bus attended the scene and transported the children home.
The Hyundai Sonata was towed from the location.
The male driver of the Hyundai was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
Police are reminding drivers to be aware of school buses as they make frequent stops.
