The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a domestic disturbance in Chatham.
On September 28, 2014, police responded to a domestic dispute where a woman reported that she had been assaulted. The man fled the residence prior to police arrival. Through investigation, the woman divulged previous incidents of domestic violence.
This morning, police located the man and he was taken into custody. The 28-year-old Chatham man has been charged with assault x2, overcoming resistance by attempting to choke and intimidation. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
