Fraser MCLELLAN – Drive While Suspended, Run Red Light

(HAMILTON TWP, ON) – On October 3, 2014 at 9:30am a Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting seatbelt enforcement checks on the Highway 401 off ramp at County Road 45, Hamilton Township.

The officer observed a van drive by him and noted that the male driver was not wearing his seatbelt. The officer motioned for the driver to pull over but the vehicle continued ahead and ran through a red light. He eventually stopped for the officer who had his emergency lights and siren activated.

Fraser MCLELLAN age 33 of Port Hope faces the following charges under the Highway Traffic Act:

1) Failing to wear seatbelt

2) Fail to stop for police

3) Fail to stop, red light

4) Driving While Under Suspension

MCLELLAN is scheduled to appear at the Provincial Offences court, 860 William St. Cobourg on November 12, 2014 at 9:00am.
