(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating the theft of diesel fuel from a local company.
On October 3, 2014 the OPP attended a business on Kawartha Lakes Road 48 in response to a break, enter and theft. Initial investigation indicated that a padlock had been cut to facilitate entry into the business and then over 18 000L of diesel was removed from a tank. The value of the diesel is approximately $25 000.
A Scenes of Crime Officer (SOCO) attended the scene to assist with the investigation.
