(Lansdowne,ON) – On the 4th of October 2014 at approximately 10:00 a.m. Leeds and 1000 Islands officers of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a theft of an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) in the Eden Grove Road area.
Investigation determined that an unknown male left a Silver Chevrolet truck and a trailer at the residence after fleeing with a stolen ATV, toward the village of Lansdowne. The pick-up truck had been reported stolen earlier in the day.
The suspect attended another home nearby on Eden Grove Road, left the ATV where a Black Ford F150 was taken.
Gas cans were taken from near-by residences.
Later that day, the suspect was located driving another stolen pick-up truck, south on Joyceville Road.
As officers apprehended the fleeing suspect and vehicle, 2 police vehicles were damaged.
Jason Douglas SERSON, 35 years old of South Frontenac Township, has been charged with numerous offences including:
Theft of a motor vehicle,
Possession of stolen property, and
Theft under $5000.
He was remanded into custody to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Brockville on October 8, 2014.
