SINGLE VEHICLE ROLLOVER RESULTS IN MINOR INJURIES

(Selwyn Township, ON) – On Thursday October 09, at approximately 4:20 p.m., members of the Peterborough County OPP were called to investigate a report of a single vehicle rollover on Selwyn Road.

A Suzuki SUV was traveling along Selwyn Road near the 11th Line when it left the roadway and rolled over coming to rest off the roadway. OPP officers, Para-medics and members of Selwyn Fire Department attended the scene of the collision.

Upon attending it was discovered that the 54 year old male driver had been able to exit the vehicle, however his 53 year old female passenger was stuck inside the vehicle. Emergency personnel were able to extract the female form the vehicle after cutting the roof off the vehicle.

The two occupants were transported to Peterborough Regional Health Centre with non-life threatening injuries. Both occupants were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision.

The OPP continue to investigate the incident and charges are not pending at this time.
