(Adjala-Tosorontio Township, ON) On the 9th of October 2014, at 3:15 p.m. a blue Jeep was travelling northbound on County Road 50 between the 25th and 30th Sideroad of Adjala-Tosorontio Township when a head-on collision occurred with a 4-door Volvo that was travelling southbound.
Emergency personnel were dispatched, and all occupants were transported to hospital with injuries. The male driver of the Jeep is from Alliston, Ontario and he was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The female driver of the Volvo is from Aurora, Ontario and she was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, as well the male passenger from the Volvo was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The investigation is continuing, and a Traffic Collision Investigator and Re-constructionist is at the scene. The road will remain closed pending the conclusion of the investigation. Alcohol is not considered a factor with this collision.
We ask motorists who are delayed by this investigation to please be patient. The OPP officers will clear the scene and restore normal traffic flow as soon as possible.
