Barrie Police attended Georgian College today in response to a trespass incident. The incident occurred at 10:40am this morning when Campus Security notified Barrie Police Service of the incident and a potential threat, threatening harm to the school. The threat was vague but treated as a high priority call.
The threat was made by a 20 year male who had been previously trespassed from the Georgian College Campus. The male was located a short time after the threat was reported to police and arrested.
The male was transported to Barrie Police station and charged with Uttering a Threat and remains in custody.
