OPP ATTEND AT MOTORCYCLE COLLISION

(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On October 11, 2014, just after 2:00 p.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a collision involving a motorcycle on Highway 401 westbound, near the On Route Service Centre.

The collision occurred when the rear tire of a BMW motorcycle blew, causing the driver to lose control. The motorcycle came to rest on its side on the highway, along with both occupants.

The 35 year old male driver and 30 year old female passenger, both from Ann Arbor, MI, were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
