Joshuah DE BOER – Drunk Driving

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – On September 28, 2014 at approximately 7:17 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) West Region Highway Enforcement Team (HET) acted on a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver on Highway 401.

Police were advised the vehicle had exited off Westchester Bourne in the Municipality of Thames Centre. Police conducted patrols in the area and found the suspect vehicle parked on Cromarty Drive east of Westchester Bourne. When officers interacted with the driver, they discovered he was impaired and had been drinking.

The driver was arrested and brought to an OPP detachment for further tests. As a result of the investigation, police have charged the male driver, Joshuah DE BOER, age 31 of Guelph, ON with Impaired Care or Control and Having Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in 100 Millilitres of Blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in a London courtroom November 4, 2014 to speak to the charges.
