MALE SUSPECT WANTED BY POLICE

(CHIPPEWAS OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) – Members of the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation Police with the assistance of the Middlesex Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit are seeking the public’s help in finding a person wanted by police on outstanding warrants.

On October 12, 2014 just after midnight, Chippewas of the Thames First Nation Police and Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation Police were on stationary patrol on Muncey Road on Chippewas of the Thames First Nation Territory. While on patrol, police observed a suspicious vehicle travel past them at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was later observed at a gas station in Mount Brydges. Police started to interact with the driver and an unknown female passenger when the vehicle suddenly sped off from the officers.

The vehicle made several evasive manoeuvres from police and police were no longer able to safely follow the suspect vehicle. Further investigation revealed the truck was stolen.

As a result of the investigation, police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Konrad FRENCH, age 36 of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation. He is described as being approximately 188cm (6’2”) tall, 105 kgs (231 lbs), with short brown hair, brown eyes and a heavy build. He is wanted for Flight From Police, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Driving While Disqualified, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000. There is also an outstanding warrant for Breach of Probation.

Any person with information regarding this investigation or this individual should immediately contact the OPP or their nearest police agency by calling 911. Police urge members of the public NOT to attempt to apprehend the subject.
