(CALEDON, ON)- On October 12th, 2014 officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate a break and enter into an Airport Road residence. Police learned that the suspect(s) gained access through an insecure rear wooden door in the walkout basement by prying off a latch which was secured by a padlock. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole cash and a necklace from a jewellery box.
Police are reminding residents to contact the OPP Communications Centre immediately at 1-888-310-1122 to report any suspicious activity or suspicious vehicles in the area. Information such as suspect physical descriptions, suspect vehicles and direction of travel are useful tools for investigators.
