(LAIRD TOWNSHIP, ON) – On October 13, 2014 at approximately 2:15 pm a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Safety division observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed eastbound on Highway 17 in Laird Township.
The vehicle was stopped and as a result of police investigation 72 year old James HILL of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario was arrested and charged with one count of operating a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on November 17, 2014.
