(NAPANEE, ON)- On Monday, October 13th at 9:11 a.m. officers with the Napanee Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a red Chevrolet S10 pick up truck being stolen from the Mac’s Convenience Store parking lot in the Town of Greater Napanee.
Approximately 25 minutes after the report an officer patrolling Hwy 401 located the stolen vehicle and arrested the driver after stopping the vehicle on the off ramp at Highway 37.
20 year-old Gary JANSEN of no fixed address faces the following charges:
Theft of a Motor Vehicle Under $5000 Section 334(b) Criminal Code
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 354(1)(a)
Fail to Comply with Probation Order 733.1(1) Criminal Code X 3 counts
Drive while Disqualified Section 259(4)(a) Criminal Code of Canada.
JANSEN was held for a bail hearing in Provincial Court in Napanee.
