(KENORA, ON) Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) Kenora Drug Unit and the Kenora OPP Street Crime Unit have charged two people with drug related charges.
On Thursday October 16, 2014 just before 2:30 pm police arrested a 24 year old female and a 25 year old male following an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking activities in the downtown area of Kenora. Police seized a small amount of hydromorphone as well as cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
As a result, 24 year old Rae-Anne WESLEY of Kenora has been charged with Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA). 25 year old Aaron PAYPOMPEE of Kenora has been charged with Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) CDSA, Possession of Property Obtrained by Crime contrary to section 355(b) of the Criminal Code (CC) and Fail to Comply with Probation Order (sec 733.1(1) CC). They have both been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
