(Selwyn Township, ON) – On Monday, October 20,at approximately 2:15 a.m. members of the Peterborough County OPP were called to investigate a report of thieves entering parked vehicles, in the Terraview Heights Drive area.
Officers received a report of several people entering vehicles in the night. A search of the area was conducted and a short time later a female suspect was investigated in relation to the incident. Two male suspects fled the area.
As a result of the investigation 25 year old Leah COOK of Peterborough was arrested and charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 She was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Peterborough Provincial Courts on November 27, 2014, to answer to the charge.
At this time two unidentified male suspects are still at large.
The public are reminded to ensure that they lock their motor vehicles and remove anything of value from the interior in order to reduce the likely hood of being a victim, similar crimes.
