(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Haldimand County detachment has charged a 34 year old man with Aggravated Assault after investigating an altercation at a King St., Hagersville, Haldimand County, ON address.
On Thursday October 9th, 2014 at approximately 12:45 am Police were called to the King St., address to find a 50 year old Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation male suffering from serious injuries as a result of a physical altercation. He received emergency medical aid from Haldimand County Paramedics before being transported to a hospital for treatment.
During the subsequent investigation the identity of the suspect was identified and on Wednesday October 15th, 2014 he was arrested.
Charged with Aggravated Assault is 34 year old Delbert POWLESS of Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. He is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga, ON at a later date to answer to the charge.
