POLICE INVESTIGATE SINGLE MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated a motor vehicle collision at a Cockshutt Road, Townsend, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Sunday, October 19, 2014 at approximately 8:05 p.m., Norfolk County OPP, Norfolk County Fire Services and Paramedics responded to a single motor vehicle collision.

Investigation has determined that a grey coloured sports utility vehicle (SUV) was travelling southbound on Cockshutt Road when it left the roadway striking a hydro pole. The vehicle subsequently rolled trapping two occupants.

Norfolk County Fire Services extracted a 19 year old driver and 16 year old passenger from the vehicle who were then transported by paramedics to a local area hospital with minor injuries.

Norfolk Power was notified and attended to restore the power line.

The investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
