Brad WILSON – Trafficking

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On October 19, 2014 at approximately 12:38 a.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) were conducting R.I.D.E. spot checks on Highway 7 near the Guelph-Eramosa/Woolwich Town Line in Guelph-Eramosa Township.

Police investigated the driver of a 2014 Chevrolet that entered into the check point. Upon speaking with the male driver police immediately detected the strong odour of fresh marihuana inside the vehicle and observed a small amount of marihuana on the front seat as well as on the driver’s pants. The male was placed under arrest and the vehicle searched. Police seized a substantial quantity of marihuana along with drug packaging material.

Brad WILSON age 27 of Kitchener has been charged with Possession of Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking Over 3 Kg contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on November 21, 2014 to answer to the charge.
