DRUGS, WEAPON SEIZED AT TRAFFIC STOP

(South Dundas) – On October 22, 2014 at approximately 9:19pm, an SD&G OPP officer had the occasion to stop a vehicle carrying two (2) occupants on Highway 401, South Dundas Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana and a prohibited weapon (switchblade knife). Further information also indicated that the adult male driver was in contravention of conditions imposed from previous incidents.

The driver – Dylan HULAN (22) of Stephenville, Newfoundland was arrested and is charged with;

– Fail to Comply with Recognizance (2 counts)

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall today (October 23, 2014).

The passenger – Beverly Ann HULAN (41) of Fort McMurray, Alberta was arrested and is charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance
– Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon

She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on December 2, 2014.
