(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A recent vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) resulted in a Waterloo resident having his driver’s licence suspended and his vehicle towed.
On October 25, 2014 an OPP officer observed a vehicle travelling at 140 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on Highway 35 near Fleetwood Road. The vehicle was passing a tractor trailer and nearly collided with on-coming traffic. The officer subsequently stopped the vehicle.
William PEARSON, 73 years of age, of Waterloo, was charged with stunt driving. His driver’s licence was suspended and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on December 9, 2014.
