Barrie Police Service received a complaint about heavy equipment being driven on the sidewalk in the area of Tiffin Street and Ferndale Drive South. Officers attended and located a 25 year old Essa man driving an excavator down Tiffin Street with his twin brother beside him. The driver was a disqualified driver throughout Canada because of an impaired driving conviction. The driver was arrested and later released on an appearance notice with a future court date. The excavator is believed to be stolen and was impounded for further investigation.
