On October 24, 2014 members of the Guelph Police Technological Crimes-Child Exploitation Unit executed a search warrant at a home on Hilldale Crescent, where the male accused resided with his parents. The investigation was a result of an online investigation into the possession and sharing of child pornography files. During the search of the home, computer systems, external storage devices and other articles were seized from the home.
Mael Harris, 29 years of Guelph was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography, making child pornography available for distribution and accessing child pornography. He will appear in court on December 16, 2014.
